The 5th Generation

The fifth generation of Saida Stone Shop, which has been engaged in stone processing and sculpture in Kameoka, Kyoto since its establishment in 1902. <> In addition to producing Kyoto stone crafts and lanterns using fleas and stone heads, he specializes in sculpture using finer fleas. A variety of techniques such as the flea finishing technique applied to the Kyoto lanterns and the traditional technique unique to Kyoto that gives the work a profound feeling over time by finishing it to make it look weathered are with contemporary art. It is also used for joint production. <> We are working on the development of traditional crafts in cooperation with various craftsmen, artists, and designers.
